Since 1953, our 4-H club tradition has been passed on from one generation to the next.  The Kirchhayn Trotters 4-H Club first met in the home of Mrs. Joyce Bauer Gerlach, who was also the club’s first general club leader.  In a few short years, the club outgrew meeting in her home and they moved the meeting place to the Jackson Town Hall, located on the corner of Hwy 60 and Hwy G.  Mrs. Gerlach led the club from 1953 to 1956 when Mrs. Marianne Prochnow served a year.  Mr. and Mrs. John Leikauf followed her leadership until 1961. The early members of the Kirchhayn Trotters 4-H Club include names like Eickstadt, Endlich, Groth, Nicolaus, Scheuenemann, Volz, Weichman, Ziemer, Prochnow and Tischer.

Today, we are 70 members strong, all belonging to the Kirchhayn Trotters family.  Along with these members there are many special project leaders who encourage learning, cooperation, and leadership. The club participates in many community service activities including, Jacob Eickstedt Blanket Memorial Project, Christmas caroling, giving to the local food pantry, and many more.

Our club meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  We always welcome new members to the club.
